The aim of the site is to be relaxed, stress-free, creative, friendly and welcoming, so we do our best to avoid drama. You can help out by following our very simple rules:
Repeated breaking of our rules may result in action being taken, with the harshest penalty being a banned account. Hopefully, we can avoid this, so play nice!
Site Rules:
- In accordance with Proboards’ terms & services, you must be aged over 13 to play.
- No posting of anything that may be considered overly violent, gory, pornographic, racist, homophobic, or sexist. Everything must be kept at a PG13+ level.
- Swearing is permitted, but no slurs of any kind are permitted.
- Any graphics or art that you may use in the game, either must be created by you, or you must have permission to use. No taking images from Google or deviantArt.
- One account per member (there is no need for more!).
- You must listen to and respect all staff members, and if they ask you to do something, do it.
- In terms of activity, we delete accounts that have never posted anything, after at least 1 month since the last login has passed. If your account has been deleted, you are more than welcome to reregister.
Roleplay Rules
- You must write in the third person, eg "He walked down the road", NOT "I walked down the road".
- No God-Modding (controlling, injuring or killing another player's character without their permission).
- Liquid time is allowed. You may have up to four (4) threads going on at once with each character.
- In order for first generation characters to access liquid time, they must have exited their wave thread. Until they do so, they cannot make/enter other threads.
- No chat/leet speak.
- We encourage people of all experience and levels to join. There is no minimum word count, however, we ask that you try to post at least a paragraph so that others have something to respond to.
- If you want to leave or go on a hiatus from the site, you are allowed to try and adopt out your characters. There are two rules for this:
1) You may not try to force or "guilt" other people into playing them.
2) You may not take a character back after adopting it out. It stays with the new player. - No purely OOC posts in the IC boards. Since every post in those boards grants a point, a post consisting only of an OOC note grants you a point you didn't actually earn. If you have a question or want to let someone know something, please use PMs.
Claiming Offspring & Breeding Request Rules
- Players may have as many litters per season (be the player of one of the parent characters) as they like.
- ONLY the players of the parent characters may post in the breeding request thread, up till and including the time when the litter has been generated.
- Both parent players must discuss among themselves civilly which offspring they are interested in. If both players are interested in the same offspring, we'd like you to try and come to a calm agreement between yourselves. If this is not possible, then staff can step in and toss a coin to decide who will get to play the character.
- Once BOTH parent players have had a chance to claim their offspring or decline to adopt, and have had any claims approved (OR after the 3 days is up without one/both parent players claiming), THEN other players may express interest in the remaining offspring.
- You may only express interest in a maximum of ONE offspring per litter.
- Interested parties may post using the following format: "I'd be interested in claiming #X!"
No emotionally laden or "guilt tripping" language may be used:
Example of an acceptable interest post: "I'd be interested in claiming #1! I love its colour scheme"
Example of an UNACCEPTABLE interest post: "OH WOW!! I'm interested in claiming #1!!! I love it soooo much! I'll DIE if I don't get to play it! Please please let me adopt it!!" - ALL players interested in a particular offspring must post in the breeding thread to express their interest. Who gets the claim can then be discussed between interested parties and the players of the parent characters. Staff will step in with a dice roll once 24 hours has passed since the last non-parent claim, if the players of the parents do not intend on giving the offspring to a specific person/people.
- All up, a claim is not official unless a staff member has approved it. We will not tolerate any kind of bullying behavior surrounding character claims.
- ONLY posts made in the breeding request thread will be considered for review. Thus if the breeding is discussed via PM or in the Discord, this will not be valued as an acceptable claim by staff. This is to cut down on confusion on who has claimed what offspring, since discussions in PM and chat will not be visible to everyone.
Mutation Limitations
- Furs can have no more than TWO tails.
- Feathers can have no more than THREE pairs of wings.
- Furs and Scales may have no more than THREE pairs of limbs (legs or arms).
- Legs and fins CAN coexist on a Scale or Fur.
Repeated breaking of our rules may result in action being taken, with the harshest penalty being a banned account. Hopefully, we can avoid this, so play nice!
