There are three NPCs (Non-player characters) on Vive. They are basically god-like creatures, with magical powers and skills. From time to time, they enter threads and you can roleplay with them. If your character leaves a good impression on one, they may even grant you with some points or a new marking, so if you see one about, it's worthwhile saying hello!
Most of the lore surrounds the creation of the colour pools in the Stardust Caves, which is where the first generations emerge from on the southern continent. These caves are held in extreme respect and awe by all the inhabitants of Vive.
Read below to see a picture and short description of them.

The Eme
The Eme is said to have created the cave system by tunnelling through the mountains. It is genderless and ancient, and some say is a living form of the rock itself. It doesn't like to change its form, and doesn't appear to speak much at all, apart from making deep, low groans (though it's said that those with unlimited patience and who are very connected to nature, may hear its voice). The Eme appears to dislike those who use long and fancy speech, preferring those who are more to the point and down to earth, as well as those who have an affinity for nature. It is said that when Eme moves, grass and flowers soon grow behind it. It is slow, and patient.
Zom
Zom is supposedly one of the sun's rays, each of which is fabled to be one of the sun's many daughters and sons. Zom was the one who brought the colour pigment to the empty pools that Eme had dug out in the caves, in the form of a shower of brilliantly hued sparks that he had brought with him from the sun, and had hidden in his scales. Zom is generally good natured, and always up for a laugh, but he can be fierce and firey, and loves the thrill of a fight or a competition. He loves those with a loud and fun nature: those who can tell the best stories, sing the greatest songs, or dance the livelist jigs, will win his favour.
Kuu
Kuu is said to be a living comet, and she was the final stage in creating the colour pools. She brought with her a trail of stardust, which she scattered across the pools and which caused the Vive creatures to start appearing from them. Her stardust gave the caves their name. Kuu is gentle and timid, and a wonderful listener. She is also very fair when judging others, and does not let emotion rule her decisions. She favours those who admire beauty and tranquility, and those who seek peace rather than have a bloodlust.
