Unfinished Introductions [c]

Exit leaned against the wall of her own little hollow of the Tree, slowly stirring from her nap. The last sprout had been... exhausting, and a little too self-reflected, and she needed the rest. As she opened her eyes, seeing the sunlight stream in past the soft green curtain of her fur falling in front of her face, she languished in the comfort of home. This place, at least, with its small bed of vines and grasses and place just above where she needed to travel to see to the sprouts, would always be sacred.

Rolling her neck to try and shake off some of the haze of sleep and stretching out her weary legs, Exit slowly made her way out of her home. She'd need to check and make sure, but she didn't hear any commotion from beneath her, so there probably wasn't a new sprout yet. As she fluffed up her fur against the bitter cold, though, and shook her head until said fur didn't totally obstruct her vision, she thought she saw a familiar-looking spot of green down below. No, not the lush grasses and flowers and so forth, but she never forgot the sight of someone she'd sprouted with. She looked a little different now, and she'd never gotten a name, but... "Hello?" she called down, looking at one of her own pseudo-siblings. Now enervated, she made her way down the creeping vine-like ramps of wood that served as her way of getting up and down the tree, and hopped out onto the grass of the Reach. Her breath puffed in small clouds of mist in front of her as she smiled at the other green fur, now green-and-magenta. "Hey! It's been a while!"

She rocked back and forth on her heels, enthusiasm at seeing a friend only growing after seeing a smile that reflected her own on the other fur's face, even if that one was more tired than excited. Exit responded, "Yep! That's... my whole thing!" She smiled, but bit her lip once she realized there really wasn't much more for her to say on the matter. "It's... a tough job, but somebody has to do it!" she elaborated with lame enthusiasm. She shook her head again to try and get her fur out of her eyes. I mean honestly, it was a good aesthetic but it was frustrating sometimes. Oh well. Not like she was going to cut it, it was warm and she liked the look of it.

"Enough about me, though!" she blurted. "I still look the same, whereas you look totally different!" She peered pointedly at the magenta dots scattered across her face, and at her back legs, walking a few paces to almost circle around the other fur. "Congratulations!"
